It's been a fairly long time since I made a video for YouTube (and I probably won't be making one for some time to come,) and sometimes when I think of doing hauls on my blog it might not translate as well as a video does, but I just thought sod it - I wanted to share some repurchases that I pick up on the regular from Look Fantastic. Side not, they had a pretty sweet deal - 15% off and a free beauty bag when you spend over £55. Which I had done. Score to little freebies to try.
My first repurchase was the Avene Hydrance Optimale moisuriser. I go for the "Riche" variation for my dry skin, and it's one of the moisturisers I've used consistently over the last five or so years. I tend to use this as a night cream, then throw on any treatments over top (oils, sleep masks - all that good stuff.) They also have a SPF 20 moisturiser which I use for during the day, which is just as good.
The First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads are something I've been using instead of the Nip + Fab variation (also very good,) for an acid tone in the evening over the last six months. They are very gentle, which is great for sensitive types such as myself and they are also pretty hydrating whilst you know, exfoliating. I think with pads it feels a little more economical - each pad is soaked in the product, so no risk of pouring it out onto a cotton pad and wasting anything.
For the morning, the Caudalie Moisturising Toner has become my preference for the last year. I don't need to prattle on about this; it does it's job very well for a very reasonable price point. Hydrating, soothing and brightening. Triple check.
It wouldn't be a skincare haul without picking up a little somethin' somethin' to try out. I've been considering the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum for a while (namely after reading this from Poppy Dinsey,) and saw this little set in the Look Fantastic sale. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be there now, but as it was a Christmas set, you might catch it next year. I can't say too much yet, but I'm really enjoying the serum in particular so a full size purchase may need to happen!
And a look at the beauty bag! Inside was an Eve Lom Morning Cleanser (a light cleansing balm, it's fabulous but the smell is super pungent, not in a great way. Think Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream intensified.) A Codage serum, some Lord & Berry Eyeliners (black glitter and a brown/bronze,) and lastly a Murad Rapid Collagen Infusion sample (which has been passed along to my mother, who adored it.) I really love this beauty bag deal Look Fantastic have on occasion, especially if you're already spending that amount anyway - it's a great way to try new products that you might not have already considered.
