Don't you think when you've found a new permanent fixture in your skin care routine it's like the stars have aligned? (over dramatisation here, okay, bear with me.) I'd just run out of a very good cleansing balm but was in the mood to switch it up with something a little 'richer' for winter and then out came this new launch; the Trilogy Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm...
My previous evening cleanser, the Body Shop Cleansing Butter is amazing. I'll be buying it again when the weather warms up but for the colder months this is definitely going to be a permanent fixture. I prefer to use it (much like the Body Shop offering,) as a skin cleanser after I've used an oil to remove my make up but this does a marvellous job of both removing make up and giving your skin a much needed kick up the backside cleanse. With rosehip, mango and coconut oils you know it's going to smell divine, think spa like qualities but it's not over powering and it doesn't aggravate my sensitive skin either.
It is an a-typical balm in terms of texture and function (I kind of hate it when brands call a cleanser a balm when actually it's a cream cleanser, you know?) Worked into the hands a little it 'melts' down to a oil and then thoroughly cleansed with a flannel (handily Trilogy provide an excellent one with this balm.) You definitely need to use a flannel/muslin with this balm, rinsing just ain't gonna cut it. The results are thoroughly cleansed, soft skin that isn't irritated and a little bit more of everything. A little more hydrated, a little more radiant, a little more supple soft skin.
After cleansing with this for longer than a month now, I definitely won't be without it now.
Have you tried the Trilogy Cleansing Balm?
