It is sort of matte. The bronzing shades are completely matte, the highlighting shade at the top has shimmer. Cheeky, but I'll let it slide. Swirl your brush over all the shades and you get the most perfect bronzed up "Oh me, yeah I'm totally all chill and bronzed because I've just got back off holiday" smug glow. It's that good. Because there isn't that much shimmer in the palette - it is very subtle, making it ideal for everyday wear.
Just want a matte bronzer? Just omit the highlighting shade. And the highlight is pretty damn special on it's own, used in the inner corners of eyes, a touch on the brow bone and adding a little extra somethin' somethin' to the tops of cheekbones.
Like with the previous highlighting palettes, it is a joy to work with. The usual jam here; finely milled, long lasting and barely needing any touch ups throughout the day. Pretty damn good for under £10.
