I love a good sample size. Especially skincare, where (especially if you have sensitive skin like moi,) you pay a good amount of money for something, only to be left disappointed and out of pocket to boot. So when a sample is available whether its been sent in with other bits bought, or bought specifically and even freebies in a magazine? Oh yeah, I'm down. Who's with me?
So, enter "Sample Sunday." Pretty much the same as a normal review but the product itself is teeny tiny. Adorable, yes, but will it whet the whistle enough to splurge (or indeed just buy,) on the full size? I won't be doing this every week, but I think it could be a fun little segment to do (when I feel like it.)
For this week then; Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask. I picked this up from the Clinique site, it doesn't seem to be on there any more but they do tend to rotate what samples you can buy from them (it would seem.)
I adore overnight masks, I prefer the hydrating kind and I've exclusively used the Origins Drink Up Intensive, not for any particular reason; that area of overnight treatments had yet to be explored. Now I kind of feel stupid for not having a little play around because this is pretty luscious, to be frank. It's lighter than the Origins mask, so is going to be lovely for summer months but I would also prefer this in winter too. As soon as I put it on I could literally feel my skins relief, sound weird? Apologies. It was just that immediate "ahhh my god yes, more of this please," moment.
I can't see any downside to this mask, it works a treat at providing hydration and my skin looks way better for it come morning time. It smells lovely, nice and fresh and not irritating in the slightest. It does its job and it does it very, very well. So bottom line, will I be picking up the full size? Yes. Oh yes. It's £30 for 100ml, but seeing as I've still got quite a bit left of my sample size it definitely is one of those works-out-cheaper-in-the-long-run products.
Have you tried any good samples recently?
