I almost didn't write about these nail polishes because at the beginning, I hated them. Which, to be fair is unusual, I love Rimmel Nail Polishes. I've used this line before (although to be honest I do prefer the Salon Pro formula,) and had good results.
Turns out I'm an idiot and it was my base coat that was the problem.
But even after I'd realised my error and applied these with a fresh base coat, just meh. The colours, whilst gorgeous on, they have an average of 3-4 days before chips occur and whilst that's fine the paler colours (Chin Up Buttercup, yellow and Orangina, pale orange/peach) take about three very precise coats to become completely opaque and for some reason it is quite difficult with the formula to get it just so without the dreaded thick gloop nail. The bright pink/red, Glaston-Berry is a beaut of a shade and goes on fine in two coats.
So yes, the colours are gorgeous and of course they are shiny/glossy as the name suggests, the longevity is average (maybe less if you work more with your hands?) but they are under £3 so you can't really go wrong for a quick summery fix.
Have you tried the Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine polishes?
