Otherwise known as my most reached for products or everyday face. Sort of.
I have an ikea MALM dressing table to sort out the majority of my make up, but guys, it's so annoying. Don't get me wrong, I love it, it's the perfect length and depth to fit my space but that damn drawer is so annoying. Why you not open all way, drawer?
So, to save me flustering about when I'm in a rush or just in general because I'm the worlds easiest to get riled up I've taken to putting my most used products in my Muji acrylic drawers...
Base. I use the Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer mixed with the Revlon Photoready Skin Lights in Peach (review here.) Doing this little mixology ensures not only that my make up stays put but I also get that all over radiance from the liquid highlighter. My number one foundation is the No7 Stay Perfect Superlight Foundation. When it says super light, it means super light. And stay perfect it does. I used this in Spain last year when the humidity was crazy, as in melt your face off crazy. It stayed put. I can't even tell you how much I love this stuff. It's beautiful. For concealing, the Maybelline Fit Me concealer is the absolute one. It does under eyes and blemishes and general redness. It's the all in one. No cakeyness, no drying. Just a good amount of coverage. If I want to add a little extra highlight, I reach for the YSL Touche Eclat. It's a classic.
Depending on how my redness is fairing I use the Max Factor Creamy Blush in Soft Pink. It perks up the complexion, it doesn't dry down to a powder and just gives a subtle dewy blush to the skin. Perfect. If I want to use bronzer, I've been using the Revlon Matte Highlighting palette in Desert Bronze (review here,) and to finish it all off my holy grail powder; Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light.
Eyes. The NARSissist eyeshadow palette has my heart, completely. It has everything I'll ever need for day to night and I pretty much exclusively only use this nowadays and to use under that, the No7 Stay Perfect Smoothing& Brightening Eye Base. For eyeliner I use the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl in Bronze (and taupe and nude, not pictured) and I also use a liner that came in a set from 17. It's not part of the permanent line, which is a shame because its the perfect inner corner highlight.
For brows, the Revlon Brow Fantasy has everything I need. Whilst I love my HD brows palette, I just love the ease of use of this two in one, a pencil to fill in any gaps and the tinted gel to add a little more va-va-voom whilst keeping the hairs in a perfect shape. And for mascara? I tend to swap and change that a lot but at the moment I've really been digging the Soap & Glory Thick & Fast mascara; it gives a lush amount of volume and length, sans clumps.
And not pictured? Too many lip products to possibly fit in this drawer, that's a story for another day. What's your most used products?
