I don't know what happens to my skin in summer; it seems to have a mild freak out every time the weather warms up...
Whilst dry, sensitive skin can obviously be problematic in winter, every time a seasonal transition occurs I still have to crack out the big guns. The top dogs. The two products that I have to in my bathroom cabinet because they just fix these skin woes, no problem. And quickly.
The Aveeno Bath & Shower Oil is possibly one of the weirdest 'textures' for a shower oil I've come across but it works really, really well. The oil feels more like a gel oil (which is obviously much easier to use in the shower than a straight up oil,) and then emulsifies to a milk when combined with water. It has a really pleasant oat fragrances and immediately any angry skin is soothed.
For post-shower the Skin Relief Shea Butter Moisturising Lotion is a good-un too. Whilst it is a very light lotion, quick to absorb and all that good stuff it actually feels more balm-y than most lotions I've tried and does a fantastic job of hydrating dry areas and soothing sensitive skin. I find this works after one application, so it's definitely worth having on hand throughout the year, not just winter.
So these are my body care staples, what are yours?
