I love a good liquid highlighter. One of my 'near holy grail items' was the No7 Illuminator Radiance Boosting Beauty Fluid (mouthful,) but it was let down in the end with the brush. Whilst I didn't use the brush to apply it, when it was nearly finished the brush got completely clogged, despite cleaning it. Sort of wasteful, especially when the brush isn't needed.
So where to move on to? There are so many liquid highlighters around, but in the end I stuck to the high street/drug store/pharmacy route and picked up the Revlon Photo Ready Skin Lights. One in Peach Light and one in Bronze Light.
First of all you only need the tiniest amount. Seriously. Especially with Bronze Light. Even more so if you're pale. Go easy with it.
It's not a bad thing of course, it'll last you ages which makes it worth it alone, considering it's just under £12. An insane bargain in that respect. But is it any good?
Yeah. It really is.
It blends out incredibly well, with brush or fingers (or indeed a sponge,) depending on your tools of choice. Mixed in with either primer or your foundation it just gives the most subtle yet incredible glow without any telling glitter. On it's own, a tiny amount applied to the high points of the face - again, an incredibly pretty highlight.
I'd definitely recommend having a look at these next time you're in Superdrug/Boots - have a little swatch and play with Bare Lights and Pink Lights too as I feel whatever your skin tone, you'll find one to suit you. It's such an incredibly easy way to add a little somethin' somethin' without cracking out all the products.
Have you tried the Revlon Skin Lights?
