She's named after the berry, FYI. Not the bags. We tried out a few names in the car on the way home (Quincy, Mittens, you know the usual,) from picking her up and she responded to Mulberry every time we tried it out. Cute overload. I know.
If you're a long time reader, especially on the old site then you'll know we have two dogs and a cat already, Salem, upon meeting Mulberry was not impressed. On reflection and frantic googling, we went about introductions all wrong. So now, slowly slowly. Salem still knows she is here but at least he's coming back to his regular rooms in the house; Mulberry currently has her own room but comes out when Salem goes roaming, but again slowly.
She's nine weeks old and we've just literally taken her to her first vets appointment. How heartbreaking is it when they get their first vaccinations? That little mewl! Totally worth it, however for her health and in four weeks time she'll have another. She's actually been sleeping in the cat carrier we have (with all the bars off and plenty of snugly blankets mind you,) as it seems to comfort her, so when we took her to the vets in it she just fell asleep straight away. Totally adorable.
Basically, I'm a crazy fur lady. Crazier.
