When it comes to transitions between seasons, not only do I have the eternal struggle of what to wear (I'm always that person without a coat or umbrella,) but my skin takes a beating for it too and it seems that when it comes to dry skin, it happens more around this time of year than in the depths of winter.
I really loved using the La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5, but I'd recently run out and in my local pharmacy they stock a whole lot of Avene so thought to give Cicalfate a try...
Whilst B5 is great, I noticed Cicalfate was immediately superior - it feels richer in texture but absorbs really quickly, whilst B5 can take a while to sink in. So much so, you can apply it to your hands and immediately get back to typing on the keyboard, no tackyness with this stuff at all. I tend to keep one on my night stand for last minute moisture top ups, but also in my handbag as the (rather snazzy metal,) tube doesn't take up much room at all. Despite it's small size, I can see this lasting a while considering the small amount needed to get the job done.
So if you're in the market for a decent repair balm that doesn't break the bank, take a look at this one.
