Pretty much everything is in place now in our lounge, little bits and pieces that we were waiting on have arrived and whilst I still need to get a few more frames and the like I thought I'd share what I have purchased from H&M Home, because as mentioned in this post; I seriously frickin' love them.
So first up, cushions! I needed some more darker, moodier covers whilst still giving warmth to the space so picked up this scallop print cushion cover, this leaf print and two small light grey velvet cushion covers...
I also managed to score a light blue quilted blanket in their sale section, it's not there any more which is a shame because it's the perfect blanket, warm, but light enough if you're the type that doesn't like being too hot...
So along with the leaf print, I also picked up the slightly smaller cactus print and I adore it! I love the mix of greys, greens, textures and patterns that we've got going on. The white/grey stripe is a cushion I've had for ages (also from H&M, similar here and here,) and the larger dark grey velvet cushion is from IKEA.
Since I so kindly donated my MUJI drawers to the Mr for his small, more fiddly camera equipment bits (batteries and the like,) I wanted more of a display piece, but obviously still functional as well as pleasing to the eye. I fell for this anthracite wooden box immediately, at the moment it's keeping my most worn jewellery on display (whilst protected,) and kind of a perfume tray at the same time. I wouldn't mind keeping some make up in there too though, but as I have so much storage from the HELMER drawers, I don't really need it for that.
I've had the skull tea-light holder (currently used to hold cotton rounds,) for about a year but this is the new variation they have at the moment. What is new is the wooden box with a gold lid to store q-tips in, as Mulberry took a liking to picking them out of their previous container one by one and leaving them in various places around the house. The wood effect plant pot is from B&Q.
I really love how it's all coming together, considering it's such an odd use of space (lounge, studio, dressing room,) but it's great to be moving towards the finish line with this room!
